Easy access to climate data

Understand how the climate is changing

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has published its sixth set of climate projections. The dataset of climate projections is referred to as the Climate Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP6) and brings together resources of 130+ climate models from 50+ modelling centres around the world. The global dataset is huge and is supported by a growing number of national databases.

Susteer has developed its own routines to access these datasets and generate climate risk statistics for providing location specific reports, as input to risk assessment tools and environmental models.

Tell us the location of your site, and we’ll provide you with comprehensive data sets to support your project design, climate change risk and adaptation planning or environmental impact assessment.

Quick and easy.

Bespoke reports

We can provide a comprehensive climate risk assessment of your region, including a general description of how the climate may change under different scenarios and specific climate risks relating to infrastructure, buildings, thermal comfort, renewable energy and agriculture.

More than 200 statistics available, one of which is Cooling Degree Days which is used to determine the load on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

The graph on the left has been compiled from the output of 19 climate models providing daily mean temperatures from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2100 (555,161 modelled days).  The Cooling Degree Day has been calculated using a set point of 22oC for each modelled day and as the sum for each year (1,520 modelled years).  The mean, minimum, maximum and percentiles represent the range in results for each year from the ensembled model output.
