Introducing Susteer AB

Susteer ("us", "we", or "our") is a data supported consultancy in environmental management and sustainability.

We are the Data Controller for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation. As a data controller we have a responsibility to make sure you know why and how your personal information is being collected in accordance with relevant data protection law in connection with any personal information collected or received by us arising from your use of any of our products, services, applications, websites and customer support communications.

Susteer is committed to preserving the privacy of our customers. This Privacy Policy lets you know about our policies for the collection and use of information about you by:

  • explaining the types of information that we may collect and hold, how that information is used and with whom the data is shared; and
  • setting out how you can contact us if you have any queries or concerns about this information.

This Privacy Policy also confirms:

  • we will not sell any of your personal information to third parties;
  • we do not share your information with other companies without your prior permission or if outlined below;
  • we will only send you marketing emails if you specifically give us your consent to do so.

Please also be aware that we may also obtain information about you from our Clients. We are not responsible for the security or policies of these companies, and recommend that you review their Privacy Policies before sharing your personal data with them.

By using any of any of our products, services, applications, websites and customer support communications, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Contractors

These are companies who work directly with us, under contract, to supply us and you with certain products. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. You may advise us of your preference not have your data shared, and we will ensure that unless necessary for the execution of a Contract or to meet legal requirements that your data is not shared without your explicit permission.

Information we collect

We may collect information about you in several different ways including when you purchase products or services from us, when you contact us, send us feedback, or use our websites or social media channels.

We may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to: email address; first name and last name; telephone number; organisation you work for or represent; your position or role in that company or organisation; the address of that company or organisation, including the country, state, province, county, city and postal code as appropriate.

We may collect information how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as: your computer's Internet Protocol (IP) address; browser type; browser version; the pages of our websites that you visit; the time and date of your visit; the time spent on those pages; unique device identifiers; and other diagnostic data.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyse our products or services.

In limited circumstances we may also use your information for other purposes where permitted by law.

Transfer of Data

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to - and maintained on - computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.
If you are located outside Sweden and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to Sweden and process it there.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Susteer will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organisation or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

Sharing your data

Susteer may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary:

  • To comply with a legal obligation.
  • To protect and defend the rights or property of Susteer.
  • To prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service.
  • To protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public.
  • To protect against legal liability.

We may also prepare anonymous, aggregate or generic data (including “generic” statistics) for a number of purposes. As we consider that you cannot be identified from this information, we may share it with any third party.

The Right to Data Portability

According to the right to data portability, you have the right to request that your personal information provided to Susteer be delivered to you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, subject to certain conditions and can be requested by contacting us.

How long we keep your data for

We will retain your personal data as set out in this Privacy Policy and as required by applicable law. We may also retain certain information in order to conduct audits; comply with our legal obligations (and to demonstrate compliance) and to resolve disputes. However, we will not retain your personal data for longer than seven years from contract or contact activity unless you request we delete your data. We will then delete your data if we are legally able to do so. Should we be unable to delete your data legally we will inform you and you will then have the choice to be removed from all non-legal correspondence.

Your information rights

As a data controller we have a duty to inform you of not only why your personal information is being processed but what rights you have around your personal information too.

You have the right to:

  • Be informed of how your personal information is being used
  • Have access to information held about you, this is commonly known as a Subject Access Request (SAR)
  • Have your personal information deleted in certain circumstances
  • Have inaccuracies within your personal information corrected
  • Restrict processing of your personal information until inaccuracies are corrected or if there is a dispute around legal basis for processing the personal information
  • Object to processing of your personal information in certain circumstances
  • Have your personal data transferred to another provider
  • Be informed of where automated decision making takes place and be given an option to opt out of automated decision making.

The Right to Make a Privacy Complaint

If you feel Susteer’s processing of your personal information violates any applicable law, rule, or regulation, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Security of Data

The security of your data is important to us. Whilst no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, we take great care in maintaining the security of your personal data to prevent unauthorised access to it, through the use of appropriate technology and internal procedures. We also limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it.

Analytics

We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyse the use of our Service. This includes Google Analytics.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children").
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children have provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from Children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

From time to time we may change our privacy practices. We will post an updated copy on our website. It will have a different date from the one set out at the end of this document. Please check our site periodically for updates.
